These are the plain-language terms for dash cam installation by Philly Dash Cam. Booking an appointment means you agree to them.

Two ways to book

Camera Included — we supply the 70mai A810 Lite camera, the memory card, and the standard power equipment, and we install it. Installation Only — you supply a dash cam you already bought, and we install it. Both are mobile services performed at your location.

Installation Only services

You provide the complete dash cam kit, including all cameras, cables, power adapters, mounts, memory card, proprietary connectors, and required accessories. We provide the professional installation.

Customer-provided equipment

We can connect a customer-provided camera using:

A standard cigarette lighter socket power connection
A compatible USB or USB-C power connection

Installation Only does not currently include:

Fuse-box hardwiring
Parking-mode hardwiring
OBD-II power installation
Battery-pack installation
Exterior-mounted rear cameras
Repair of damaged camera equipment
Replacement of missing customer-provided parts

A link to the exact camera or complete kit is required when booking an Installation Only appointment. We review it before the appointment and contact you if we see a compatibility concern. We do not block a booking based on the camera model, and no approval is needed before choosing a time.

We review the camera link before the appointment whenever possible. If the equipment brought to the appointment is incomplete, differs from the submitted product, or cannot be installed using the currently supported power methods, a service-call or travel fee may apply. When available, you may instead choose one of our Camera Included packages.

Prices and travel fees

Package prices include the camera, included memory card, standard equipment, installation, setup, and hidden cable routing. Any confirmed travel fee is additional.

Installation Only prices cover installation labor, setup, testing, and hidden cable routing. Cameras, memory cards, cables, mounts, adapters, and other equipment must be supplied by the customer. Any confirmed travel fee is additional.

A $15 travel fee applies to approved locations outside our main service area. Any travel fee will be confirmed before your appointment. There is no travel fee for the communities listed on our service area page. Locations that are not listed are reviewed individually and are not automatically accepted.

Compatibility is subject to confirmation before your appointment.

Cigarette lighter or USB power requirement

The standard installation requires a functioning cigarette lighter socket or USB outlet. It should normally stop supplying power after the vehicle is turned off. If the vehicle does not have a working outlet, or if the outlet stays powered continuously, the standard installation may not be appropriate for that vehicle.

Parking mode is not included

The standard package records while the vehicle is powered on. Parking-mode recording, fuse-box hardwiring, and continuous recording while the vehicle is parked are not included.

We do not currently offer USB power, fuse-box hardwiring, OBD-II power, or parking-mode installation. Features the camera manufacturer advertises are not automatically part of the installation package.

Payment

Payment is collected at the installation location before installation begins. We do not process payments through this website.

Your responsibilities

Provide safe and legal access to the vehicle. It must be parked where its doors can be fully opened and the installer can work without obstructing traffic.
Be reachable during the appointment window, and be able to unlock and start the vehicle.
Remove valuables and personal items from the areas we will work in, including the windshield area, the front footwells, and — for front-and-rear work — the path to the rear of the vehicle.
For Installation Only, bring the complete working camera kit and provide the product link when booking.
Describe the vehicle accurately when booking.

30-Day Workmanship Guarantee

If an installation-related cable comes loose, a camera mount detaches, or an installation-related connection fails within 30 days, we will correct the installation at no additional charge.

The workmanship guarantee does not cover camera or memory-card defects, vehicle electrical problems, accidents, windshield replacement, customer damage, modifications, or work performed by another person or business. Product defects are handled under the manufacturer’s applicable warranty.

The 30-day workmanship guarantee covers the installation work only. It does not cover defects or failures involving customer-provided cameras, memory cards, cables, adapters, mounts, connectors, applications, firmware, or other equipment.

Manufacturer warranty

The camera and memory card are manufacturer products. Any defect in the hardware is handled under the manufacturer’s applicable warranty. We will help you identify whether an issue looks like an installation problem or a product problem.

Appointments and availability

Appointments are booked through our scheduling calendar, and available times reflect what is actually open. We cannot promise same-day availability.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, let us know as early as you reasonably can. We do not charge a cancellation fee at this time. If weather or conditions at the address would make the work unsafe, we may reschedule the appointment.

Work we may decline

We may decline or stop work when a vehicle is unsafe to work on, is not compatible with the standard installation, has been modified in a way that affects the installation, or was described inaccurately when booking. We may also decline a location where the work cannot be performed safely or legally. If we decline before work begins, you owe nothing.

Limits

A dash cam is a recording device. It does not prevent accidents, decide fault, or guarantee any outcome with an insurer or in a dispute. Recordings depend on the camera, the memory card, lighting, weather, and where the camera can be positioned in your vehicle.
